We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.
After high school, I enrolled in a dental assisting course and started as a chairside dental assistant. Over time, I transitioned to the front office. As the initial contact person for our patients, I am responsible for all communication with staff and patients, treatment planning, financial arrangements, appointment scheduling, coordinating insurance and claims, and all other administrative tasks. As a part of this office since 1998, I’ve genuinely enjoyed getting to know our family of patients and helping them achieve their oral health goals. Everyone in the office shares a passion to provide excellent care and patient experience.
I am a native of the Denver Metro area. My family now consists of my brother and his wife, son, and daughter. My nephew has a daughter and my niece has two daughters. I enjoy gardening, reading, and spending time with my friends. Friday nights I am on a bowling league with my brother and nephew!
I attended PIMA Medical Institute for my dental assisting courses ten years ago. Through continuing education, my goal is to ensure I’m the best that I can be for myself, Dr. Johnsen, and to our patients. As a dental assistant, I have the opportunity to help people feel comfortable and confident that they are getting the absolute best care to obtain a healthy, beautiful smile. My team and I are caring and devoted individuals who genuinely love helping others.
Aside from being a full time dental assistant, I am a full time wife, mom, and a proud owner of our St. Bernard named Princess. My life is full of love, laughter, and joy!
My passion is providing patients with the highest quality of dental care, educating patients on their systemic health in relations to their oral health, demonstrating effective home care habits, recommending individualized oral hygiene products, and engaging with patients to help them achieve their optimal oral health. Upon graduating from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry with a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene, I’ve stayed current on continuing education courses by attending the RDH Under One Roof National Hygiene Conferences, the Rocky Mountain Dental Convention, and the ADA Dental Meeting.
When it comes to patient care, I believe that building a trusting rapport with patients is the best way to help them attain a higher level of health, as I can individualize their treatment and personal home care regimen. I truly care about and am committed to the well-being of our patients.
In my free time, I look forward to spending time with friends at our scrap booking mountain retreats. Working out and staying healthy is very much a passion of mine, as is traveling and bicycling with my husband.
